Colombia has one of the most structured audiovisual production policies in Latin America. Law 1556<\/a>, which is part of the legislation for the audiovisual industry, has two incentives, the Colombia Film Fund (FFC) and the Audiovisual Investment Certificates (CINA), which promote Colombia as a destination for the production of films, series, music videos, video games, and audiovisual production for advertising. So far, this law has benefited 134 projects from 15 countries, attracting 78 production companies and more than US$499 million in investment to our country.<\/p>\n

The FFC has benefited 49 national and foreign projects with a projected investment of COP 289 billion \/ USD 64 million in Colombia. Some of the productions that have received this cash rebate are: \u201cThe 33<\/a>\u201d; \u201cThe Lost City of Z\u201d; \u201cKill Chain\u201d; \u201cRunning with the Devil\u201d; \u201cMile 22\u201d; \u201cBelleville Cop\u201d; \u201cLong Shot\u201d; \u201cGemini Man\u201d; \u201cJungle’\u201d; \u201cLoving Pablo\u201d; \u201cMemoria<\/a>\u201d; \u201cThe Boy\u201d; \u201cThe Padre\u201d; \u201cAmerican Made\u201d; \u201cSniper 7\u201d; \u201cBlunt Force Trauma\u201d; \u201cNarcos\u201d; \u201cThe Long Game\u201d; \u201cAmbush\u201d; \u201cTomorrow Before After\u201d and \u201cWhat You Wish For\u201d; among others.<\/p>\n

In the case of the CINA, 85 international projects have benefited with a projected investment of 1.95 billion COP \/ 435 million USD. Some of the productions that have received tax certificates are: \u201cThe Morning Show\u201d; \u201cMalayerba\u201d; \u201cEl grito de las mariposas\u201d; \u201cLa reina del sur 3\u201d; \u201cChichipatos\u201d; \u201cJuanpis Gonz\u00e1lez\u201d; \u201cRitmo salvaje\u201d; \u201cEcho 3\u201d; \u201cLa ley de la selva\u201d; \u201cReputaci\u00f3n dudosa\u201d; \u201cPasi\u00f3n de gavilanes\u201d; \u201cA grito herido\u201d; \u201cCochina envidia\u201d; \u201cGospel\u201d; \u201cThe Marked Heart\u201d 1 and 2; \u201cPrimate\u201d 1 and 2; \u201cEva Lasting\u201d; \u201cCien a\u00f1os de soledad\u201d and \u201cLos iniciados\u201d; among others.<\/p>\n

From 2013 to 2022, the projects benefiting from the FFC reported contracting 76,400 hotel nights and purchasing 6,600 airline tickets from Colombian agencies. From the beginning of the CINA in the second half of 2020 until December 2022, the beneficiary projects have contracted 142,600 hotel nights and purchased 5,500 airline tickets from Colombian agencies. It is worth mentioning that the FFC has created 28,800 direct jobs and 8,200 indirect jobs.
